Pirates | Gerrit Cole hits 100 mph in pro debut

Pittsburgh Pirates SP Gerrit Cole made his pro debut Friday, Oct. 14, in the Arizona Fall League. He reportedly hit 100 mph with his fastball, and was in the upper 80s with his slider. "I felt pretty good," Cole said. "It was exciting and I did well. I was a little bit nervous during the warmup pitches, but I was OK."
