Panthers | Jon Beason's injury healing
Carolina Panthers LB Jon Beason (Achilles') expected to have his cast removed Friday, Oct. 14, after having surgery Sept. 16 to repair a torn left Achilles' tendon. He will be in a walking boot for six weeks. Barring any setbacks, he is expected to be wearing normal shoes by Thanksgiving. "At first it's hard to come to grips with missing a play, missing a game," Beason said. "Then having to sit home in a splint, not able to leave the house, it's tough because I couldn't be here for my team."
