Jaguars | David Garrard to be released
The Jacksonville Jaguars told QB David Garrard Tuesday, Sept. 6, that they plan to release him. QB Luke McCown will start in Week 1.
Fantasy Tip: The Jags may be tempted to open up the passing game up a bit more with McCown under center, but this move probably hurts the wideouts on roster more than it helps. McCown is a QB3 at best. Blaine Gabbert's debut may be expedited if McCown proves ineffective, but like McCown, he wouldn't be more than a third QB option.
