Pittsburgh Steelers QB Dennis Dixon, in a battle with veteran QB Charlie Batch for the No. 3 job, misfired on nine of his 10 pass attempts in the preseason opener Friday, Aug. 12, against the Washington Redskins. Batch completed 2-for-4 for 16 yards.
