Steelers | Dennis Dixon wants out

Pittsburgh Steelers backup QB Dennis Dixon, a restricted free agent, has yet to sign his one-year tender offer and did not report to the team for the start of training camp. His agent, Jeff Sperbeck, said Dixon wants a chance with another team to compete for a starting job - something he won't get in Pittsburgh behind two-time Super Bowl winner Ben Roethlisberger. Sperbeck said Dixon would like to be traded, as a starting opportunity is what Dixon is seeking. Sperbeck did not rule out Dixon signing the tender and reporting to the team.
