Red Sox | Erik Bedard acquired from Seattle
The Boston Red Sox have acquired SP Erik Bedard and RP Joshua Fields in a three-team deal which also involves the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Mariners will receive OF Trayvon Robinson from the Dodgers and OF Chih-Hsien Chiang from the Red Sox. The Dodgers will receive C Tim Federowicz, P Stephen Fife and P Juan Rodriguez from the Red Sox.
Fantasy Tip: Though Bedard's new park isn't as helpful (6.99 career ERA at Fenway Park), he'll have much more run support now that he's actually playing for that team. If he's still available in your league, pounce.
Robinson is an elite speed prospect that could immediately see a chance in Seattle; if not this year, he'll be in camp next season. AL-only players should go after him immediately, and deep mixed speed chasers could take a shot, as long as they don't go overboard on a bid.
Chiang is having a stellar campaign at Double-A Portland and gives Seattle even more outfield depth. The 23-year-old is a stashable prospect in dynasty setups.
