Phillies | Hunter Pence acquired

The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired OF Hunter Pence from the Houston Astros Friday, July 29, according to a source. The Phillies shipped OF Jonathan Singleton and P Jarred Cosart to the Astros, plus two players to be named. Pence has two years of arbitration remaining.

Fantasy Tip: Pence sees a slight bump up in value; his new lineup dwarfs his former bat mates, and as with Minute Maid Park, Citizens Bank Park has been favorable to right-handed hitters. Meanwhile, the Astros receive two long-term cornerstone types in Singleton and Cosart; both should be scooped up in dynasty formats if they're still available. We'll have more on the other two minor leaguers when they're revealed.
