Yankees | Ramiro Pena has appendectomy

New York Yankees SS Ramiro Pena (appendix) underwent an emergency appendectomy Monday, July 18, and was placed on the 15-day disabled list. He will be out for four to six weeks. 3B Brandon Laird has been recalled from the minors to replace Pena on the roster.
