Cubs | Ramon Ortiz capable of pitching in long relief

The Chicago Cubs have decided to keep SP Ramon Ortiz on the 25-man roster, instead of P Christopher Carpenter, because he is capable of pitching in long relief. The organization feels Carpenter would also benefit from getting regular work at Triple-A Iowa.
