Pirates | Scott Olsen released

The Pittsburgh Pirates released SP Scott Olsen Saturday, May 14. He entered spring training as a candidate for the fifth starter job, but fell out of the race due to a hamstring strain. He eventuall ended up on the 60-day disabled list due to the fact he couldn't build up enough arm strength in his inflamed shoulder.
