Red Sox | Josh Beckett had sore elbow

Updating a previous report, Boston Red Sox SP Josh Beckett (elbow) came out of his last start, a 125-pitch outing, with a sore elbow. He and SP Daisuke Matsuzaka will both receive two extra days of rest before their next outings.

Cs Jason Varitek and Jarrod Saltalamacchia will each catch every other day, with Varitek catching SPs Clay Buchholz, Beckett and Matsuzaka.
