Dodgers | Dioner Navarro has torn oblique

Los Angeles Dodgers C Dioner Navarro (oblique) has been diagnosed with a torn muscle in his right oblique and will begin the season on the 15-day disabled list, according to ESPNLosAngeles.com's Tony Jackson. Navarro will likely miss at least a month. Manager Don Mattingly said Cs A.J. Ellis and Hector Gimenez will compete for the backup job. C Rod Barajas might start nearly all of the games when Navarro is out.
