Packers | Edgar Bennett takes over as receivers coach
The Green Bay Packers named running backs coach Edgar Bennett as their new receivers coach Friday, Feb. 25, reports Pete Dougherty, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Bennett was a running back for eight seasons in the NFL, and it's the only position he's coached in six seasons as an NFL assistant. However, he won over head coach Mike McCarthy with his preparation and attention to deal. "At the end of the day the guy jumped through the door to do the job," McCarthy said. Bennett replaces Jimmy Robinson, who left to become the assistant head coach-receivers coach with the Dallas Cowboys.
