Angels | Pitching coach back with team

Updating a previous item, The Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett reports Los Angeles Angels pitching coach Mike Butcher made his first appearance at camp Wednesday, Feb. 16, working with the team's pitchers for over an hour during their morning throwing sessions. Butcher had surgery last week to remove a cancerous growth from his thyroid gland and has been recovering at his home in the Phoenix area.
