Jets | LaDainian Tomlinson expects to return

New York Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson said he expects to return with the team in 2011, according to Rich Cimini, of ESPNNewYork.com. "I would definitely like to play, no question," Tomlinson said. "Really and truly, I'm under contract, and I fully expect to play football with the Jets next year. Until I'm told otherwise, I just expect to be there." Tomlinson, who turns 32 in June, is due to make $2.4 million in the final season of his contract. There has been speculation about his future because the Jets have young RBs Shonn Greene and Joe McKnight on the roster. General manager Mike Tannenbaum indicated last week he expects Tomlinson to be back, but he left a hint of doubt by saying "things could change."
