MLB | Jermaine Dye won't sign minor league deal

Free-agent OF Jermaine Dye (White Sox) is hopeful of returning in 2011, but only if he receivers a guaranteed major league contract, reports Ken Rosenthal, of FOXSports.com. "I would still like to play, but I think my choices have passed and teams have gone with other people," Dye said Wednesday, Feb. 2. "I will continue to stay in shape and hopefully someone will call. If nothing gets done by the end of the spring, I may call it a career." Dye didn't play in 2010, sitting out rather than accept a contract he deemed unsuitable.
