Mariners | Chris Chambliss to work on little things

Seattle Mariners hitting coach Chris Chambliss intends to get back to the basics and will not be focusing on teaching his players to hit home runs, according to AOL's John Hickey. "Just to talk about home runs is not really the answer to overall offensive production. There are teams that have proven that power is not the only factor in scoring runs. You need to get on base. You need to run the bases well, move runners up. We want our hitters to be good hitters first before worrying about (hitting) homers," Chambliss said. The team will be focusing on on-base percentage, two-strike approach and moving runners up.
