Bears | RB Battles Continue

The Sun Times reports now that RB James Allens seems to have secured the starting RB job for the Chicago Bears, backups Marlon Barnes and Skip Hicks will resume their battle for the top backup spot tonight against Arizona. Both are unlikely to make the team behind Allen and second-round draft pick Anthony Thomas. "I've got to progress in this game to progress with this team," said Hicks. RB coach Earle Mosley said Barnes will get the first look after Allen and the first team are finished. The first team on both sides of the ball will not play more than a quarter. Hicks will also share kick-returning duties with Jerry Azumah to start the game.
