Updating a previous report, the Carolina Panthers gave new head coach Ron Rivera a four-year deal with no option year, according to team president Danny Morrison, reports The Associated Press. "His approach, his demeanor, his style, his experience, the fact that he's been a former player, seemed to me to be perfect for us at this particular point in time," owner Jerry Richardson said Tuesday, Jan. 11.
