White Sox | Prefer not to use Chris Sale in rotation

Updating a previous report, the Chicago White Sox would prefer not to use P Chris Sale in the rotation in 2011 if SP Jake Peavy (lat) is not ready for the start of the season, according to ESPNChicago.com's Doug Padilla. "I'm not in favor of that," pitching coach Don Cooper said, when asked if Sale would be used as a starter until an injured Jake Peavy returned. "It's unfair and too much to ask of a young guy until he has a chance to get himself situated." However, Cooper made it clear that he has yet to talk with manager Ozzie Guillen and general manager Kenny Williams about the situation. Ps Charlie Leesman, Lucas Harrell and Tony Pena could be used as starters if Peavy is not ready.
