Orioles | Matt Hobgood has shoulder issues
Baltimore Orioles P Matt Hobgood (shoulder) is dealing with a right shoulder injury and is likely to be delayed for the start of next season, according to The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec. Hobgood felt pain in his shoulder two weeks ago while playing catch. He was diagnosed with a rotator cuff strain and will begin rehab and therapy after the New Year. "We'll take the four to six weeks and then look at it," said director of player development John Stockstill. "It might be a minor setback, it might be more than that. We're not going to know until he goes through this." Doctors do not think that surgery is necessary at this point. Hobgood is likely to remain in extended Spring Training next year while he rehabs.
