Saints | Garrett Hartley not on a short leash

New Orleans Saints PK Garrett Hartley is not on a short leash, according to head coach Sean Payton, reports James Varney, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "He's our kicker," Payton said. "Just watched him kick today. He's had a great week - great couple of weeks." Payton conceded there have been players on thin ice with the Saints during his tenure. "But that wouldn't apply to (Hartley)," Payton said. "He's got too much ability. He's going to play just fine and over the long haul he's going to play well."
