Redskins | Clinton Portis out 4-6 weeks
Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said RB Clinton Portis (groin) will miss four to six weeks with a third degree separation of his groin, reports The Washington Post.
Fantasy Tip: Portis' injury means that Ryan Torain should be the main back for the Redskins for the next four weeks, at least. Torain rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. This injury solidifies Torain's value as a top acquisition this week. Chad Simpson and Keiland Williams could receive some carries while Portis is out, but they should not be considered as ownable at this time. If owners are desperate for a roster spot because of injuries or bye weeks, they should strongly consider cutting Portis.
