Marlins | Jorge Sosa has effective spot start Saturday

Florida Marlins P Jorge Sosa allowed five hits over four scoreless innings in a spot start against the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday, Oct. 2, with two walks and one strikeout, according to The Associated Press. Sosa's 70 pitches were the most he has thrown in a game since July 7, 2007, when he threw 99 in a start against the Washington Nationals as a member of the New York Mets.
