Jets | Release statement regarding Braylon Edwards
New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum released a statement about WR Braylon Edwards' DWI arrest, according to Jenny Vrentas, of The Star-Ledger. "We are very disappointed in Braylon's actions this morning," Tannenbaum said. "We are reviewing the information with the league and will impose the appropriate disciplinary measures." The Jets fund their own "Player Protect" program, which offers rides to and from events free of charge to players to prevent such a situation. "Braylon is aware of this program and showed poor judgment," Tannenbaum's statement continued.
