49ers | Looking To Be Healthy

Matt Maiocco reports for the Press Democrat San Francisco 49ers coach Steve Mariucci said the team's focus has now shifted to the regular season. Because of that, he will likely rest all of the players who are nursing injuries. "We're going to take a conservative approach and healthy up for Atlanta," Mariucci said on Wednesday. WRs Tai Streets and J.J. Stokes, FB Fred Beasley, DT Bryant Young, CB Jason Webster and LB Jamie Winborn are among the players who will be held out. Mariucci said he might also keep QB Jeff Garcia and RB Garrison Hearst out of action. PR David Allen will likely sit out with an ankle sprain meaning WRs Jimmy Farris and Cedrick Wilson will get another opportunity to return punts.
