Seahawks | Leon Washington ready to jump into starting RB battle

Seattle Seahawks RB Leon Washington (leg) has looked good in practice and it appears he is ready to jump into the competition with RBs Julius Jones and Justin Forsett for the starting tailback role, reports Eric D. Williams, of The Olympian. "We're really excited about Leon playing this week. And he's had terrific preparation for it. He's been banged around plenty of times here, been knocked off his feet and has been tackled plenty of times here. He's ready to go at this point, so we'll see where he is," head coach Pete Carroll said.
