Bengals | Rookies make contributions in first preseason game

Cincinnati Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham, WR Jordan Shipley and C Reggie Stephens all made contributions during the team's first preseason game last weekend while playing with the first-team offense, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy. Gresham had three catches for 37 yards while also providing some nice blocks. "He was coming up and talking every play because was involved in the blocking. He's a young guy and has to get the feel of it," RB Cedric Benson said of Gresham. "He got it together in the second quarter. That's a great sign a guy who realizes his mistake and knows where he is going to get ahead." Shipley had five receptions for 50 yards during the game and has emerged as the favorite to win the slot-receiver job.
