MLB | Barret Loux to become free agent

P Barret Loux, the Arizona Diamondbacks' first-round selection, will become a free agent Sept. 1 after the team failed to reach an agreement with him before the deadline Monday, Aug. 16, according to The Associated Press. Loux will be allowed to sign with any team and the Diamondbacks will receive the seventh pick in next year's draft as compensation.
