Rangers | Purchase approved by MLB

The sale of the Texas Rangers has gained unanimous approval from Major League Baseball Thursday, Aug. 12, ending a year of financial instability for the team, according to MLB.com's Barry M. Bloom. The team was purchased by the ownership group called Rangers Baseball Express, with attorney Chuck Greenberg serving as the managing general partner of former SP Nolan Ryan. Ryan will remain as the team's president.
