Cubs | Thomas Diamond vows to improve

Chicago Cubs SP Thomas Diamond vows to pitch better than he did in his last start Sunday, Aug. 8, when he gave up five runs in three innings, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports. Cubs pitching coach Larry Rothschild gave him a few pointers, stressing the need to locate his fastball. Plus, his changeup is his second pitch and he needs to make sure that's right when he finishes warm-ups in the bullpen. They'll do more fine-tuning Tuesday, Aug. 10, during a side session.
