Boston Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkilis (thumb) left the team's game Monday, Aug. 2, in the top of the third inning due to a jammed thumb, reports MLB.com's Ian Browne. C Victor Martinez moved to first base, and C Kevin Cash entered the game and took over for Youkilis at No. 3 in the batting order.
