Cardinals | Chances of signing Austin Wilson improve

The St. Louis Cardinals are more optimistic of signing 12th-round draft pick OF Austin Wilson after he and his family visited the stadium this week, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Joe Strauss reports. Wilson has a full scholarship to Stanford University, and it was once thought to be a pipe dream that the team could sign him. Most draft experts thought Wilson was one of the top 10 to 15 players in the draft.
