Miami Dolphins DE Phillip Merling (Achilles') suffered a serious Achilles' tendon injury this week, reports The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, citing profootballtalk.com. A source close to Merling said he tore the Achilles' during a football workout and is expected to miss the season.
