NFL | JaMarcus Russell arrested for codeine possession
Free-agent QB JaMarcus Russell (Raiders) has been charged with possession of codeine syrup after being arrested at his home in Alabama Monday, July 5, authorities said, reports ESPN.com. Russell was arrested as part of an undercover narcotics investigation, said Mobile County Sheriff's spokeswoman Lori Myles. Russell did not have a prescription for the codeine. Russell has a bond hearing scheduled for Wednesday, July 7, and is due back in court July 20.
