NASCAR | Drivers encouraged by tire test at Watkins Glen
NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers were encouraged by a recent tire test at Watkins Glen International this week, according to The Associated Press. Hendrick Motorsports driver Jeff Gordon, Richard Childress Racing driver Jeff Burton and JTG Daugherty Racing driver Marcos Ambrose were the drivers who tested tires. "I'm certainly happy to see the improvements that they've made," Gordon said. "There are a lot more runoff areas that I think are really good improvements."
