Free-agent QB JaMarcus Russell (Raiders) cleared waivers Friday, May 7, reports Bill Williamson, of ESPN.com. Russell was expected to go unclaimed because his salary is more than $9 million for this upcoming season. Russell will likely not garner anything other than the minimum league salary if he signs with a team.
