Chargers | LaDainian Tomlinson says he has problems with A.J. Smith
New York Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson said Sunday, April 25, he has nothing against the San Diego Chargers organization and that the furor over his comments during and after his divorce from the team will eventually subside and things will be patched up, reports Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune. However, Tomlinson made it clear he does have a problem with general manager A.J. Smith, and it could have an impact on his future relationship with the Chargers. Tomlinson said he hoped to retire as a Charger but that Smith's presence would make that difficult. "I would hope so, because I really have a lot of respect for the Spanos family," Tomlinson said. "But my relationship with A.J. has been rocky. And so it's hard for me. It's hard for me to just accept going to retire with the Chargers with A.J. being there."
