Jets | Assistant Update

The Star-Ledger reports New York Jets coach Herman Edwards is about to name former USC coach Paul Hackett as his offensive coordinator and former Chiefs defensive coordinator Kurt Schottenheimer as his defensive coordinator. The fate of assistant coaches Maurice Carthon and Bill Muir remain undecided. Carthon has told friends that he's not interested in staying and as reported yesterday, he could land in New England (which has reportedly made him an offer). There have been reports of Muir going to Washington, but he is reportedly concerned about working for Daniel Snyder, and may remain with the Jets.
