MLB | Young retires

Former MLB 1B Dmitri Young, who last played in the majors in 2008 with the Washington Nationals, has officially announced his retirement, according to Marvin Goodwin of The Oakland Press. He was recently named the new vice president and senior adviser of baseball operations for the Oakland County Cruisers of the Frontier League.
