Athletics | Jennings signed

The San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports the Oakland Athletics have signed free-agent RP Jason Jennings (Rangers) to a minor league deal. The team will stretch him out to start or use him in long or middle relief, although he stated he is fine with any role. Jennings said he was close to signing with the San Francisco Giants at one point and also talked to the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals.
