Patriots | Will need to wait to move A. Thomas
Ian R. Rapoport, of the Boston Herald, reports the New England Patriots are slightly more than $3 million under the salary, according to a source with knowledge of the team's cap situation. The team is unable to make a move that will put them over the salary cap until the expected uncapped year officially begins March 5. That means the team's potential release of LB Adalius Thomas will not come until after that date. The team could also look to trade Thomas after March 5.
