Dodgers | Giles signed

The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed free-agent OF Brian Giles (Padres) to a minor league contract, according to ESPN.com's Buster Olney. If he makes the team, he would receive a $550,000 base salary, and could earn an additional $200,000 in performance bonuses. Giles can request his release at the end of the spring if the Dodgers decide not to keep him on their roster.
