Reds | Left field and shortstop full of candidates

The Cincinnati Enquirer's John Fay reports left field and shortstop are the two open spots for the Cincinnati Reds going into spring training. Competing for left field are OF's Chris Dickerson, Wladimir Balentien, Laynce Nix, Chris Heisey, Juan Francisco and Todd Frazier. "We've got all kinds of guys," general manager Walt Jocketty said. Jocketty also said IF's Paul Janish, Drew Sutton, Adam Rosales and Chris Valaika would be in contention for shortstop, but Frazier could also play there.
