Steelers | Scherer a candidate for QBs coach

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Carolina Panthers quarterbacks coach Rip Scherer is a candidate to become the Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterbacks coach. Scherer interviewed last week at the University of Virginia to be their offensive coordinator, and it is possible the Panthers would grant Scherer permission to interview for the Steelers' job.
