Diamondbacks | Howry contract details
Updating previous reports, if Arizona Diamondbacks RP Bob Howry is traded during the 2010 season and the 2011 club option on his contract is exercised, he can void the option and the Diamondbacks would not owe him the $250,000 buyout, according to MLB.com's Steve Gilbert. In addition, Howry's club option can become a mutual option if he finishes 40 games during the 2010 season and the buyout would be paid if either side declines the option year. The Diamondbacks have also agreed not to offer him salary arbitration if he is classified as a Type A free agent.
