Seahawks | Close to deal with Carroll
Aaron Wilson, of the National Football Post, reports the Seattle Seahawks are on the verge of signing Southern California head coach Pete Carroll to become the team's next head coach. It appears Carroll will receive a five-year, $35 million contract, according to the Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Daily News. The Los Angeles Daily News reports Carroll has accepted the job, but he has not yet signed the deal. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Carroll will take the job as president and head coach.
