Royals | Decline options on three

Bob Dutton, of The Kansas City Star, reports the Kansas City Royals declined the 2010 options on OF Coco Crisp, C Miguel Olivo and RP Yasuhiko Yabuta Friday, Nov. 6. Yabuta can become a free agent if he does not reach an agreement with the team on a major league deal before Nov. 16. Crisp received a $500,000 buyout and Olivo a $100,000 buyout. The team exercised a $500,000 buyout on Yabuta to void their $4 million option for 2010.
