Dolphins | Martin placed on IR
Updating a previous report, Edgar Thompson, of the Palm Beach Post, reports the Miami Dolphins have placed TE David Martin (knee) on Injured Reserve, ending his 2009 season. Martin experienced swelling in his knee this weekend, and team doctors are concerned it may require surgery. Martin's agent Terry Williams said Martin will receive a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews. Williams said Martin may be sidelined for only a few weeks.
