Patriots.com reports New England Patriots RB Julian Edelman, CB Shawn Springs, RB Kevin Faulk, RB Sammy Morris, S Ray Ventrone, WR Wes Welker, DL Myron Pryor, DL Ron Brace and LB Shawn Crable are not expected to play in the team's preseason game Friday, Aug. 28.
